Organization Mission: Passenger Air Service The Rochester International Airport (RST) is served by two air carriers who collectively offer 8 flights each day to Atlanta, Chicago, and Minneapolis. Rochester International Airport typically accommodates about 240,000 passengers each year, providing air service to Southeast MN and border regions of Iowa and Wisconsin. As an economic engine in our region, the Rochester International Airport plays a significant role in economic development providing excellent air service to three major hubs and beyond to anywhere in the world. The Airport provides an impressive annual economic impact for the region of $161 million dollars in annual output, 2,911 jobs, and $73 million dollars in annual payroll. Air Service Development The goal of the air service development is to maintain existing air service levels while consistently striving to add more flights and nonstop destinations. This goal is achieved through continuous market place analysis of current and potential routes, examination of the Southeastern Minnesota regional customer base and teaming with community partners in order to present the best business case possible to new and existing air carriers.

About Beam
  • For the commercial sector, we tend to register startup activities (new companies and new commercial projects) that bring diversification and high-impact opportunities to the area.
  • For the non-profit sector, we wish to shine light on all the organizations and services that otherwise labor under relative obscurity.
  • Our hope is that dmcbeam.org will encourage cross-sector collaborations and creative solutions.

While there are a number of registries in the community, dmcbeam.org's  distinct value is to pilot a database with a data structure and categorizations that answer the questions such as: What organizations or projects/programs in our community that have purported relevance with some of the over-arching focuses put forward by initiatives such as DMC, J2G and Health Improvements?

This database could be used as one of the ways to explore the capacities of the community. If you are someone on an exploratory journey to learn about the greater Rochester community. dmcbeam.org could be an interesting first step.
